Giving Tuesday: Non-profit Organizations

Giving Tuesday is celebrated annually on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving. In honor of this charitable day that encourages individuals and organizations to contribute to their communities and make a positive impact on the world, we have listed ten amazing non-profit organizations to support the Extra Lucky community.

Backyard Players is an inclusive arts-based community program that is open to anyone ages 14+. The goal of this non-profit organization is to give every person a space to share ideas and experience joy and creativity. Donations are always appreciated! *

Rod's Heroes aims to help children with Down syndrome or other unique circumstances find their forever home. This organization was started by an eleven-year-old boy with Down Syndrome who was abandoned at six months old. When he was four years old he was adopted into a loving family. He now hopes to continue his journey and unite many other families. Donate here!

Zoe’s toolbox has a mission to provide early developmental therapy tools to families in the Down Syndrome community. Zoe's toolbox wants to help your child shine even brighter! Donate here!

The Annie Louise Foundation hopes to empower families by making resources readily available and accessible to bridge the gap between the medical world and parenting. This foundation provides families with support and opportunities. Donate here!

Brittany’s Baskets hopes to bring guidance, support, information, and hope to families that are expecting or have newly welcomed a baby with Down Syndrome into their lives. They make baskets filled with love to celebrate the arrival of these babies. Donate here!

Down Syndrome Diagnosis Network provides real-time connections to parents of a child with Down syndrome through private and moderate online groups. Donate here!

Friendship circle forms special bonds and friendships between individuals with unique abilities and their families, teen volunteers, supporters, and staff. The friendship circle encourages respect and empathy for those facing challenges. Donate here!

Dance Innovations Foundation is a non-profit organization shaped to give back to the community and to people with disabilities and special circumstances. Their mission is to create a creative community to experience dance performance, education, and entertainment. Donate here!

The Candlelighters donates a minimum of $80,000 for the Stepping Stones Early Intervention (EI) program. EI provides critical therapy for infants and toddlers with Down syndrome and other developmental disabilities as well as provides counseling for their families. Your donation matters!

Ethan and the Bean's goal is to increase the employment rate for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Ethan and the Bean have many coffee shops filled with a positive and supportive environment teaching various workforce skills to many. Shop Ethan and the Bean to show support!
